Ecojustice- Administrative Assistant in Toronto!

Posted on June 17, 2010

Following in the vein of yesterday’s position for the environmentally minded, Daily Job Finder has an excellent opportunity to join a legal non-profit: Ecojustice is hiring an administrative assistant for its office in Toronto.

Ecojustice focuses its legal efforts on exposing lawbreakers, as well as holding governments accountable to the environmental laws that are in place.  Their legal victories have set precedents that have affected environmental decision-making at all levels of government. The non-profit maintains four core areas of concern: clean water, natural spaces, healthy communities, and global warming.

Ecojustice is seeking someone to perform general office duties; the list includes but is not limited to: responding to calls and emails, maintaining the office calendar, assisting with the preparation of legal documents, and maintaining databases. The major qualification for this position is prior experience of at least 1 year in an office setting; it would be an asset if it was in a related field. The candidate should also possess superior communication skills, both spoken and written.

Those of you with a penchant for environmental issues have until July 2, 2010 to submit your cover letter and CV. Applications can be emailed to, to the attention of Marjorie McGowan.
