Posted on September 28, 2010

A growing trend among web start-ups is companies that offer discounted rates to services, products, and outings within a particular city. Everyday people who have signed up for the e-mail notifications receive an offer for a local deal. If a minimum number of people agree to purchase the deal, everyone who signed up for it receives the deal. If the minimum number of people is not met, no one receives the deal and no one is charged. differentiates itself from its competitors by contributing a portion of the profits to a local cause.
