An emerging boutique web marketing agency, has an opening that readers of the Daily Job Finder will find exciting: Monarq Media is seeking a Visual Web Designer for its office in downtown Toronto!

Monarq’s flagship service has been leveraging online tools to generate business for dentists and dental centers. The agency will be launching a number of new brands, with some amazing international clients.

Monarq is looking for talented web designers who can help increase demand for their clients services. The primary responsibility of the web designer will be to create appealing photoshopped layouts and designs.

Responsibilities: creating & configuring hosting accounts on our server, registering, transferring, & configuring domains, installing & configuring WordPress, setting up Google Apps, etc. (instructions will be provided); creating wireframes (probably using Balsamiq) & PSD designs based on client notes & quickly delivering revisions; you will also be expected to write detailed directions f or our programmers who will turn your PSD designs into high quality HTML&CSS WordPress customizations; laying out, designing, & directing of storyboards for Flash or jQuery animations and writing detailed directions for our animators to bring your concepts to life.

What they’re looking for: experience in web design and a great portfolio; creative thinker who can easily conceptualize and create multiple different designs & layouts, each with a unique and individual look; goes above and beyond the call of duty to meet deadlines and please clients without being asked; has a gut instinct and innate understanding of the principles of good design with a relentless attention to detail; technically-savvy, a superb problem solver (for technical issues), and a quick learner (experience with Google apps, domains, hosting, etc. is an asset).

Additionally, the person they’re looking for should have the following skills: Photoshop CS4 (Advanced), Dreamweaver CS4 (Advanced), Illustrator CS4 (Intermediate); ability to hand-code and edit/fix tableless HTML (XHTML & DHTML), CSS; WordPress.
