ActionAid – Teacher!

Today’s position: ActionAid is accepting applications for Teaching positions in the UK; Leicester, Birmingham, Cumbria and Cambridgeshire in particular. The role of the teacher is to facilitate global learning in schools through assemblies and workshops.

ActionAid’s work aggressively to combat global poverty by addressing the conditions that keep people trapped in poverty.

Criteria for selection: passionate about international development issues, experience working with young people, and the ability to convey complex issues in an engaging manner. Assets: knowledge of UK curriculum requirements and teaching qualifications.

The position pays £60 per half-day and £115 per full day visit, as well as travel expenses. The number of talks requested of you, however, will be dependant on the demand in the area.
