Craigslist – while a great way to barter your iPod and find a date to the spring social – is generally a Super Bowl field shy of magnificent when it comes to job search. Today is the exception to the rule: Trazzler is accepting applications for a Travel Writer that will be sent on a three day assignment to the Hamptons in April. Lodging is free and they are awarding $500 for the assignment.
What you need to know? The process of selecting writers and sending them on paid assignment is one that Trazzler uses to hire writers to their staff. Over the last two years, the company has hired over 100 writers. So don’t think about this as a one time gig but instead as a paid interview where you get to travel.
You’ll be expected to produce 15 articles at 65-120 words each. Trazzler will collaborate with you to come up with the most interesting activities to cover in the area.
Candidates don’t need to live in New York to get the position but must be able to get themselves there for the start date in April.
If you’re trying to build a personal brand on the internet, this is a great position to help you do that: Trazzler has 1.5 million followers spread out across various Twitter personas and syndicates its content to Salon.com.
Wanna apply? Do so via the ad (below) or directly by clicking this link.
