Toronto Botanical Garden – Adult Education Coordinator

The Toronto Botanical Garden is seeking an Adult Education Coordinator.

Responsibilities: provide skilled and friendly communication with the public; provide professional and punctual communication with instructors regarding registration, participants and confirmation of class logistic; coordinate Edwards Lectures with Director of Education; use creative approaches to strategic program design, signage and event planning; collaborate with a volunteer committee to produce a program guide; build, schedule and coordinate a vibrant team of volunteer course monitors; produce monthly reports.

What they’re looking for: College Diploma or University Degree in education or a related field; a passion for gardening or horticulture and a knowledge of the industry an asset; superior and proven customer service skills; proven excellence in organizational, administrative, planning and communication skills; excellent knowledge of computers including Income Manager, Event Pro databases, word-processing and Excel spreadsheets; experience maximizing social networking sites for program promotion; experience in working with and/or managing volunteers in a not-for-profit organization.
