The Walrus – Editorial Internship

The Walrus is accepting applications for an Editorial Internship.

Goal of the internship: ” to introduce aspiring writers and editors to the magazine industry and to train them to work to the standards of one of North America’s finest general interest publications.”

Responsibilities: fact-checking stories; writing the factoids in the magazine’s Miscellany section; proofreading copy; assessing unsolicited pitches; take part in production and story meetings; shadow-edit articles alongside editors; assist with Walrus Foundation events.

What they’re looking for: graduate of a post-secondary academic institution; no more than thirty years old. You can make a case for consideration on the basis of exceptional circumstances.
