 The Toronto International Film Festival is seeking a Public Affairs Assistant for a contract position beginning mid July and finishing mid October, 2011.

Requirements: coordinate invitations, RSVPs, tickets, passes, and seating charts for government delegates attending TIFF events; offer writing assistance on correspondence, grant applications, etc; maintain and update records, files, contact information, and departmental critical path; track departmental revenue and expenses; coordinate travel for department; provide onsite support at TIFF events.

What they’re looking for: excellent organizational skills, with superior attention to detail and experience in administration; good writing skills; comfortable dealing with external clients and partners in person, over the phone, and via email; effective computer skills and very strong experience using Excel, Word, and databases; ability to multi-task and learn quickly; adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends; direct experience with TIFF and/or the cultural sector at large is an asset.
