LifeCycles Project Society is seeking an Education Coordiantor in Victoria.
Responsibilities: deliver Growing Schools fall and spring workshop series at local schools; train and coordinate volunteers to help deliver workshops; update our workshop curricula, activities, games, and materials; outreach and consultation with schools and community; steward the design and construction of 5 new school garden projects; support general office and outreach duties; work with Urban Agriculture Coordinator to support community education and garden creation projects.
What they’re looking for: available for a Sept 19th start date and available for 20 hours per week; experience as an educator and/or facilitator; experience working with kids and youth; commitment to and awareness of food, health and sustainability issues; demonstrated organic food gardening experience; ability to work as a team and also to lead a team; ability to work independently to deliver on project goals; demonstrated ability to multi-task and organize and coordinate projects; drivers license.
